Biography

B.S. from Peking University, Ph.D. from Northwest University, postdoctoral training at MIT. Researcher and group leader at the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2011, focusing on tumor target discovery and drug screening research.

Research Directions

• Discovery of novel cancer therapeutic targets — genome-wide CRISPR screens dissect Wnt, TGF, and VHL-HIF pathways and identify the genes that govern drug activity, yielding biomarkers and synthetic-lethal targets for precision therapy
• Molecular glue degraders for “undruggable” targets — novel high-throughput degrader screening platforms deliver candidate therapeutics for key disease-driving proteins
